All magic in the world of Mystic Sky is granted to its wielder by essences. An essence is a small crystal shard, a very rare stone, that, when placed into a weapon, accessory, piece of equipment, and in rare cases, the wielder, grants them magical power. Essences themselves are decently expensive, but your character is allowed to start with two of them from the basic list below. Designate what item you have it on, and whether or not you have to as an offence or a support. The effect changes accordingly.

Wind:
Offence: Allows the user control of the wind element.
Support: User's top speed increased to 40mph or 65km/h.
Water:
Offence: Allows the user control of the water element.
Support: Allows for water breathing and water movement as effective as land movement. (You move as fast in water as on land)
Fire:
Offence: Allows the user control of the fire element.
Support: Allows the user's body to exert up to two tons of force. (You can lift up a large car)
Earth:
Offence: Allows the user control of the earth element.
Support: Gains immunity to sharp strikes and attacks. (Immune to things like swords, sharp winds, etc. not things like hammers or other blunt attacks). This immunity does not work against enchanted weaponry.
Light:
Offence: Allows the user control of the light element.
Support: Able to “see” through verbal deceptions. Cannot be lied to, scammed, or otherwise tricked in such manners. Does not affect psychically enhanced tricks.
Darkness:
Offence: Allows the user control of the darkness element.
Support: Allows dark-vision, giving the user the ability to see without light, and see through non-solid visual blockers. (You can see through smoke, steam, fire, etc., but not things like earth)
There are also more advanced essences which are made by combining essences. These are called Synthesis Essences, or Synths for short. Their formulas are a guarded secret, so unless someone tells you them (the dirty cheating bastards), you'll have to figure them out on your own.

Ice = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of the ice element.
Support: Grants immunity to the effects of extreme temperature on the user's body, allowing them to withstand both fire and arctic water. (Does not have any effect on magically created fire/ice/etc. techniques)
Steam = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of the steam element.
Support: Once every five posts, the user may allow an attack to pass right through them without harm.
Wood = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of the wood/plant element.
Support: Allows user to be immovable so long as their feet are in contact with the ground.
Mud = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of heavily wet earth.
Support: All blood from the user’s wounds coagulates almost instantly after coming into contact with air.
Sand = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of sand.
Support: Falling impacts and full/large body blows are dampened heavily, causing minimal harm.
Metal = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of the metal element.
Support: The user’s bones become like a soft metal, never breaking, only bending. When they bend, the user can bend them back at will.
Lightning = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of the lightning element.
Support: Allows for massive bursts of speed, taking the user a maximum of 30ft (in a straight line) almost instantly. Can only be used once every five posts.
Gravity = ??
Offence: Allows the user control of gravitational forces. This allows the user to strengthen its effects on people, weaken them, etc.
Support: Allows the user to defy the laws of gravity, including flight, walking on walls, ceilings, etc.
Healing = ??
Offence: Allows the user the ability to heal wounds.*
Support: Small cuts and bruises heal themselves immediately. No effect on larger wounds.
Mana = Wind + Water + Fire + Earth + Light + Darkness
Support: Gain room for 10 extra abilities. Equipped to own body.
Note: Mana essences can be made and equipped without limit. They equip to one's body itself, rather than an item, and therefore can be added endlessly.
*Healing has its own sub-system. You may divide this among your abilities however you like, but you may only heal up to 150% of someone’s total health in one thread. This is a per target basis, meaning that you can heal yourself 150%, someone else 150%, etc. all in one thread. Percentages are a relative term for your injury, there is no truly numbered system. You can also have one limitless use ability that heals 5% per turn when channeled. However, you cannot be interrupted, or you’ll get the standard cooldown, and stopping at any time induces the cooldown as well.
